How to Revert a PMS Date Set in the Future

Property Management System

Having a PMS date ahead of the current date is an unexpected scenario that can lead to operational issues. The detection, possible causes, and recommended actions are explained below.

1. Detecting a Future PMS Date

  • Check the date field located at the bottom-left corner of the PMS screen.
  • If the date is ahead of the current date, it indicates that the PMS is set to a future date.

2. Possible Causes of a Future Date

  • The end-of-day process may have been executed twice accidentally on the same date.
  • While automatic day closure is active, a manual end-of-day may have been performed for the same date.
  • Such actions can advance the PMS date beyond the actual current date.

3. Is It Possible to Revert a Future PMS Date?

  • If the PMS date is behind, it can be advanced manually or automatically.
  • However, if the PMS date is ahead of the current date, it cannot be reverted manually or automatically.
  • The system does not support rolling the date backward once it has moved forward.

4. Recommended Actions

  • If a future PMS date is detected, wait for the system to reach the actual current date.
  • Once the date naturally advances, the PMS will automatically align with the current date.
  • To prevent future issues, ensure end-of-day processes are executed correctly and regularly.
