Tax Types is the area that allows you to manage the taxes applied to the products and services you offer at your property. From here, you can set the tax rate and specify whether the tax is included in the price for revenue items used in the HotelRunner Channel Manager and PMS modules.
🔔 Important Note: The taxes created here are used only within the HotelRunner Channel Manager and PMS modules. They are not reflected on connected sales channels.

💡 You can follow the steps below to add a new tax type or manage existing ones.
- Accessing the Tax Types Page
- In your panel, navigate to My Property > Settings > Tax Types.
- Initiating the New Tax Type Process
- Click on the Add tax type button located in the top right corner of the screen.
- Choosing the Tax Calculation Method
- On the screen that appears, select the tax calculation method:
- Fixed percentage: Use this option to add a tax based on a percentage of the price.
- Net (Flat Amount): Use this option to add a tax as a fixed amount to the price.
- On the screen that appears, select the tax calculation method:
- Defining the Tax Details
- Name: Specify a name for the tax type you want to create.
- Included in Price: If you activate this option, the tax amount will be included in the price. Note: This tax will be displayed as an addition to the price on the Booking Engine but may not appear this way on online channels.
- Amount/Rate: Enter the percentage rate or the flat amount of the tax.
- Revenue accounts: Select the revenue accounts to which this tax will apply.
- Code: For the 2% accommodation tax, select the Konaklama Vergisi option. For all other VAT types, select the Gerçek Usulde KDV (Standard VAT) option.
- Saving
- Click the Save button to complete the process of adding the tax type.
🔔 Additional Notes
- Flat Amount (Net) Differences: When creating a tax with a “Net” value, you will select a currency in the “Amount” field and can specify how the tax is applied: Per accommodation – Per night or Per room – Per person.
- Language Settings: You can enter the tax type information in the different languages defined in your system.
- Adding Multiple Taxes: You can add multiple different tax types to your panel by repeating the same process.
