How to make an update in the simple updates calendar

Channel Manager

You can use the Simple Updates calendar in the HotelRunner panel for two main purposes: to make quick updates like price and availability for a selected rate type, and to check the status of updates you have already made.
This document focuses on using the calendar for making updates.

🔔 Note: The Simple Updates calendar only allows you to update a single selected rate type and room type. For more comprehensive updates and multiple restrictions, it is recommended to use the Bulk Updates calendar

Steps to Make Updates Using the Calendar

  1. From the HotelRunner panel, navigate to Calendar > Simple Updates.
  2. Select the room type, rate type, and channels you wish to update.
  3. From the left menu, set the start and end dates for the update.
  4. In the central area, enter the new data into the price and availability boxes for each day.
  5. If you want to enter values for specific days only, select the desired days of the week below (Mon, Tue, Wed, etc.).
  6. Click the Apply button.
  7. Review the information on the preview interface that appears and complete the process by clicking the Update button.

🔔 Note: The update you make is only valid for the selected rate type. To apply the same changes to other rate types, you must repeat the steps by selecting the relevant rate type.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why am I receiving the warning, “The price you want to update is below the minimum price defined for your room”?

This warning appears when the price you have entered falls below the minimum price limit previously set for that room type.

🔍 How to Check: Navigate to My Property > Settings > Room Types > Base Price/Rate Definitions to view or update the minimum price value for the relevant room type.

Why is the “More” Button Inactive?

This button becomes active only when you select a single channel. Through this button, you can send the following advanced restrictions specifically for the selected channel:

  • Minimum stay
  • Close to Arrival (CTA)
  • Close to Departure (CTD)
  • Stop Sale

🔔 Note: These settings are only valid for the single selected channel. If you want to apply bulk restrictions for all channels, you should use the Bulk Updates interface.
