How to Apply Stop Sell

The Stop Sell process allows you to halt reservations for specified room types, enabling effective management of your property’s occupancy rate and room supply on selected dates.

Within the HotelRunner dashboard, you can implement the stop sale process for particular date ranges, room types, and online travel agencies (OTAs).

🔔 Not: Preliminary Reminder: To prevent potential data flow errors during this process, you should ensure that the availability is set to “0.” This action will effectively halt room sales.

1. Access the Bulk Updates Screen

  • First, navigate to Calendar > Bulk Updates.

2. Select Availability and Stop Sell Options

  • In the opened screen, check the Availability and Stop sell boxes on the left side of the update panel.

3. Define the Date Range

  • Select the date range to be updated by choosing the Start dates and End dates.

4. Apply Restrictions to Room Types

  • For the rooms you intend to suspend sales for:
    • Set the availability to “0” in the designated field.
    • Choose “Yes” for the Stop Sell option.
  • Pro Tip: To quickly apply this restriction to all room types, use the bulk copy functionality then  after entering the data for one room.

5. Specify Channels and Update

  • Specify the applicable channels for this action.
  • Finally, click the Update button to initiate the process.

After reviewing your changes on the preview page, proceed by clicking the Update button once again to apply them.
