Extras – Part 2: how to add a category

The category creation process serves two primary objectives: organization and presentation. Categories allow for a structured organization of extras in the Booking Engine, while visuals make your extras more appealing, capturing guests’ attention and simplifying their selection process.

Category Creation Steps
Accessing the Categories Page
- Open the My Property > Settings > Extras > Categories screen.
Creating a New Category
- Click the Add Category button.
- Name: Assign an appropriate name to the category.
- Custom Form: If applicable, select a suitable custom form created in the previous step. Optionally, you can create a new custom form directly from this screen by selecting the Add Custom Form option.
- Languages: Define the category name in other languages supported by your HotelRunner panel.
- Click the Save button to create the category.
Adding Visuals to the Category (Optional)
- After the category is created, click the Add Photo button to add visuals.
- Select the image(s) you wish to upload from your computer by clicking the Add File button.
- Click the Start Upload button to upload the selected image(s).
- Finally, click the Save button to save the changes.
By following these steps, you will successfully complete the category creation process.
