How to add Standard Button

Booking Engine

This document explains the steps required to add the standard button (booking button) to your website. The main purpose of the document is to describe the process of adding a reservation module to your website in the shortest possible way.

The Standard Button is a simple button used to provide quick access to the Booking Engine from the website. Users are directed to the main page of the Booking Engine without the need for a search box or other special tools. Additionally, the button’s position can be customized with options to place it in different areas of the webpage (e.g., top left or top right corner).

How to add Standard button

1) Select the Channels > Booking Engine page.

2) Select Buttons from the menu on the left.

3) After the Add Booking Button option, click on the Standard Button option.

4) Complete the features detailed below and complete the button addition process with the Save option.

Standard Button Features:
Below are the details that can be configured for the Standard Button:

Domain: Determines which website the button will appear on. If the website is not hosted on HotelRunner, the correct domain name must be selected for proper redirection.

Placement: Specifies the button’s position on the page. Users can select where the button will appear on the page.

Language: The language option for the button is set here.

Currency: Selects the currency to be displayed in the Booking Engine. This defines which currency will be shown for prices when the button is clicked.

Target: This option allows users to choose whether the button will open in the same page or a new page when clicked.

Text: The label (title) displayed on the button is set here.

Color: The color of the button is entered using the HEX code. This allows for the customization of the button’s appearance.

Text Color: This field is used to select the color of the text on the button.

Once the search button is saved, its appearance can be seen under the Preview heading at the top right. This feature allows users to check the button in real-time.

🔔 Note: For websites and booking models managed in multiple languages, separate buttons should be created for each language, and each must be shared individually. This ensures the correct translations and language configurations are applied for each language.

🔔 Note: Website Integration (For Hotels Not Managed by HotelRunner):
If the hotel does not manage its website through HotelRunner, the HTML script on the left side of the screen is used. This script functions as an integration tool to enable the hotel to receive reservations through its own website and is shared with the hotel webmaster. This allows the hotel to integrate the booking process into its website.
