Also known as the Release Period, the Cut Off Date is the minimum number of days between when a booking is made and the earliest possible arrival date. This feature allows you to restrict the sale of rate plans for a specified number of days prior to guest arrival.
🔔 Note: The Cut Off Date is available exclusively on the HotelRunner Booking Engine and is not utilized by the online travel agencies you are connected with.
Unlike the Stop Sell feature, the Cut Off Date operates on the rate plan rather than the room type, meaning it does not affect room availability. Additionally, while the Stop Sell feature might be applied to an exact date, the Cut Off Date enables the closure of the rate plan leading up to the check in date.
To set up a Cut Off Date, follow these steps:
- Select Cut Off from the Calendar > Bulk Updates.
- Select the date (Note: This process can be applied for a maximum of 45 days).
- Select the Cut Off Date for which the rate plans will be applied.
- With this update, properties will only be available in the Booking Engine, so select the Online option in the Channels field.
- Click the Update button.
- Review the preview screen and click the Update button again to confirm.
🔔 Note: Once the process is complete, the rate plans with the applied Cut Off Date will not be visible to guests within the specified date range in the Booking Engine.
