How to apply the transfer to room option on the folio screen

To transfer a posting or a payment to a different room, you can use the Transfer to room option on the guest’s account.

Follow these steps to transfer a transaction item (such as a charge or payment) from one guest’s folio to another guest’s folio or room:

Access the Guest Folio

  • Access the guest folio by navigating to the Folios section on the reservation screen.

Select the “Transfer to room” Option

  • Right-click on the transaction item you would like to send to a different room.
  • Then, click on the Transfer to room option.

Specify the Target Room

  • In the Target Room section, enter the room number or the name of the staying guest to which you would like to move the transaction.
  • Note: This field will display reservations with a Checked-In status only.

Add Notes and Save

  • If you have any specific notes to add, you can include them in the Transfer Note section.
  • Then, click the Save button to complete the action.

Result

  • After completing these steps, the transaction item will be removed from the original folio and transferred to the designated room.
