How to add a package

Promotion Engine

Packages are discounted promotional offers created by combining pre-defined extras with accommodation.
On the HotelRunner panel, standard discounts are managed under the Deals menu, while accommodation + extra combinations are managed under the Packages menu.
The process of creating a package follows the same structure as creating a deal.

Accessing the Packages Page

  1. From the HotelRunner top menu, click My Property > Promotions.
  2. Open the Packages section from the left-hand menu.
  3. Click the Add Package button to open the package creation screen.

Selecting the Package Type

  1. From the screen that opens, choose the type of package you want to create.

Defining Basic Information

  1. In the Discount Rate field, set the discount rate to be applied (net or percentage).
  2. Enter the required details in the Name and Description fields.
  3. In the Cancellation Policy field, select the applicable cancellation rule.
    • The Inherited option adopts the cancellation policy associated with the rate plan chosen during the Room Types selection step.
  4. Upload a visual for the package via the Photo field.
  5. In the Meal Plan field, select the applicable meal plan.
    • The Inherited option adopts the meal plan associated with the rate plan chosen during the Room Types selection step.

Setting Market and Payment Options

  1. In the Sellable Markets field, select the markets where the package will be displayed.
    • If the package applies to all markets, you can select All.
  2. In the Available Payment Methods field, choose the valid payment types for this package.

Defining Date Ranges and Days

  1. Select the Booking Start-End and Stay Start-End dates.
  2. In the Excluded Dates field, define the dates when the package will not be valid.
  3. Mark the days of the week on which the package will be active.

Display and Access Options

  1. Enable the Promote in Packages & Offers Page option to display the package in a separate tab on the Booking Engine.
  2. Use the Corporate Code and Code fields to create unique access codes, allowing only specific users to view the package.

Defining Rate and Room Type Settings

  1. In the Applicable Rate Types field, select Refundable and/or Non-Refundable options.
  2. In the Room Types field, choose the applicable room types and rate plan categories.

Adding Extras

  1. From the Extras field, select the pre-defined extras to be included in the package.
  2. If the Free option is active, extras will be included without additional adjustment to the discount.
  3. Use the Maximum field to set how many times an extra can be used in the package.
  4. By disabling the Free option, you can apply additional net or percentage-based discounts to the predefined rate.

Saving the Package

  1. Once all fields are completed, click the Save button.
  2. After the package is created, repeat these definitions for all languages registered on your HotelRunner panel.

When these steps are completed, your package will be visible on the Booking Engine, allowing you to offer your guests exclusive and value-added accommodation deals.
