This document provides guidance on how to apply the <\/span>Rebate<\/b> option on the folio screen. Since the folio screen does not have a feature to delete a posting directly, the <\/span>Rebate<\/b> option serves as a tool to void any transaction. It is important to note that the <\/span>Rebate<\/b> option can only be applied to revenue items categorized under the posting record type.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n\n\n

Follow these steps to process a rebate<\/strong> (a revenue adjustment or void) against a previously recorded revenue item (posting) on the guest’s folio:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Access the Guest Folio<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  • Access the guest folio by navigating to the Folios section<\/strong> on the reservation screen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Select the “Rebate” Option<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    • Right-click<\/strong> on the revenue item<\/strong> for which you want to issue a refund\/void.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Select the Rebate<\/strong> option from the menu.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Confirm and Save the Transaction<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      • Check the details in the popup window and confirm the action by clicking the OK button<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        • The void will be processed as a new transaction item<\/strong> with the rebate<\/strong> record type (usually a negative posting) on the folio. This effectively cancels out the original revenue item.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n
