To divide a posting or a payment into multiple portions based on the amount you specify, you can use the <\/span>Divide<\/b> option.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n\n\n

Follow these steps to split the amount on the guest’s folio (e.g., to divide a charge between two guests):<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Access the Guest Folio<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  • Access the guest folio by navigating to the Folios section<\/strong> on the reservation screen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Select the “Divide” Option<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    • Right-click<\/strong> on the transaction item<\/strong> you want to split the amount for.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Then, click on the Divide<\/strong> option.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Enter the Amount to Split and Save<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      • Enter the amount you would like to divide as a net value<\/strong>. (This is the portion that will be moved to a new item.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Click the Save<\/strong> button to complete the action.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        • After the amount has been split, two separate transactions<\/strong> (the divided amount and the remaining amount) will be visible on the folio screen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
