To access the Sales Departments<\/strong> menu, start by navigating to the PMS<\/strong> module from the main navigation menu. Once within the PMS module, proceed to the Setup<\/strong> section. Within Setup, select Sales Departments<\/strong> to open the relevant management options.

To add a new Sales Department<\/strong>, follow the steps outlined below:

Access the Add Sales Department Screen<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  • Click the Add sales department<\/strong> button (on the Sales Departments screen).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Specify Name and Code<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    • Specify a Name<\/strong> and a Code<\/strong> for the sales department you are creating.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The Code<\/strong> section is a valuable tool for transaction tracking; you can use either the same code as the name or an independent code.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Select the Type (Grouping)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      • In the Type<\/strong> section, choose the same category<\/strong> as the related revenue accounts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • This configuration designates the Sales Department<\/strong> as a top-level category, under which revenue accounts of the same type will be grouped.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
